Spring hike around Rochlitz — on the road between Mulde, Berg and Castle
When spring slowly arrives and the hollow flows quietly through the valley, we invite you to go on an enjoyable hike around Rochlitz.
What you’ll do in the class
On varied trails, we first follow the course of the river, roam the countryside near Sörnzig and then climb up the Rochlitzer Berg. Along the way, there is time to pause, listen and tell stories — little stories and legends about the landscape, the city and special places accompany our journey. A short breakfast break in the countryside invites you to recharge your batteries before we reach the Türmerhaus mountain restaurant on our supervolcano. A joint lunch awaits us there with a panoramic view of the Rochlitzer Land. The way back takes us down through the Forest of Kings to Rochlitz Castle and back to the city — a worthy end to a hike that combines nature, movement and history.
Meeting point:
Rochlitz — market square in front of the town hall at Brunnen (public transport nearby). Circular hike — end again at Rochlitz market square.
Note: Tour failure in the event of heavy rain, storms or thunderstorms.
Distance approx. 10 km, approx. 200 meters in altitude.
